1 out of 5 stars Worst router ever   September 4, 2010

I have configured tens of routers in last 15 years and this is by far the worst router I have ever seen. My only comment for this router is: Please save yourself some time and money and buy something else.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent Fast Wireless Router   September 2, 2010

This is the easiest router I have ever used! I've set up 2 desktops with using the valet connector, and my internet speed is faster than before. If you're looking for a new wireless router - this is the one!

3 out of 5 stars Great router but setup was not easy   September 1, 2010

We bought this to replace our 6-year old Linksys wireless G router (WRK54G)that kept dropping the signal. I read the good reviews on some computer magazines so we decided to get this. Since our old Cisco Linksys lasted awhile, we thought of getting another Cisco product.
I have to say that getting it to work was not as easy as the reviews/ads say. We installed this on a PC, and after following the simple instructions on the USB key, it seemed to work right away. However, when I installed the key on our iMac, the computer would not recognize the dang signal!!! I had to reboot the modem and the router so many times. It worked once, then was gone again. It wasn't until I played with the advanced settings on the web-based utility that everything started working.
Admittedly, now that it is working, it is fantastic. Great and solid signal all over the house. Perfect for our needs. Solid signal consistently on the iMac, iphone and a netbook.
I would've given this 5 stars if not for the not-so-easy installment. A manual should be included in the box IMO.

5 out of 5 stars Finally I am stress free   September 1, 2010
Rebecca Barth (Buckeye, AZ United States)
I purchased this router about a month ago to replace a Netgear WNR2000 that would lose it's connection every couple of hours. I finally had enough trying to figure out what was wrong with it and set out on a mission to find a replacement. Router problems can be one of the most frustrating things ever so I had spent hours pouring over reviews trying to find a reliable router that wasn't ridiculous in price. When I picked this router I found just what I was looking for. Setup was almost laughably simple. From the time it took me to open the box to the time I was connected was less than five minutes. I have been using my Valet Plus for a little over a month now and haven't lost my connection yet, not even on the second floor of the house. I couldn't be happier. If you are having trouble keeping your router connected, do yourself a favor and buy this router.

2 out of 5 stars Used to Be Great...   August 30, 2010

Originally received this router for my new apartment. Was really excited until I attempted to set things up. It wasn't a simple 1-2-3 kind of thing (as the directions so nicely stated) and turned out to be a very troublesome setup. After following the instructions to a T, I found I had a network with a password, but I was never able to connect to it with the router's login and password. Attempted to reset the router a total of three times but was not able to access the IP login page after that point. Was incredibly annoying, so I returned it and got a Netgear (which is what I used to have) - much easier to use than this! Sorry, but I can't recommend it.
